Marron Tale Tasting Class

The tour begins with a visit to our Marron Shed where tanks of live Marron are stored ready for use in the farm café and for live Marron sales.  Guests will be guided on the growth of Marron, the different sizes and grading which the industry uses for commercial sale to markets all over the world.  Guests may even see the rare Blue Marron. 

After selecting the Marron for preparation directly from the tanks, guests will be shown how to prepare and clean the Marron for cooking, including 3 different techniques which complement the delicate flavour of the meat.   Guests can then taste the Marron with a glass of Great Southern wine as a recommended pairing.

Following the tasting experience, guests will be able to purchase live Marron to take away to enjoy at their local accommodation, with preparation and cooking notes.
